What If I Am Not Flexible Enough?

This is a good reason to come to Bikram Yoga. This means Bikram Yoga is for you. This is one of the most common misconceptions that prevents people from coming to Yoga classes. Yoga is not all about how flexible you are, it is about stretching your body and spine in all directions.

There are very few people that start Yoga perfectly healthy and flexible. You just need to try the right way and work within your own body’s limits available on that day and you will get 100% benefit. You will be amazed how quickly your flexibility can improve and the heated room provides a safe environment to do this.

Am I Too Old?

No!! Bikram Yoga is for beginners all the way through to advance, all ages and all abilities. Our experienced teachers are trained to instruct the class for all abilities. If you can, you must – if you can’t you must try!

Why The Heat?

The studio is kept at a temperature of approximately 105°F (40°C). The heat warms up your body quicker facilitating safer stretching for your muscles. The heat also promotes sweating which in turn flushes toxins from the body.

Will I Lose Weight?

Expect to burn approximately between 350 – 1000 calories per class.

With regular practice you will lose weight and develop muscle tone. Do not be surprised if at first you do not seem to be losing weight on the scales even though you look lighter, do not forget muscle weighs more than body fat.

As you are losing weight you are building strength and stamina with the Yoga.
